Combining InstallPro™ with ReleasePro adds NIST level security through the end-user installation process.  Though the standards are open, the process is secure.  Every file and every release is secured and sealed through secure MD5 functions.  The BOM file itself is likewise sealed, providing Release Engineering customers the ability secure their software distributions and installations from either inadvertent or hostile attacks.  Any type of compromise to any installed file can be immediately detected and reported, from file content change, file deletion, or file addition.  And, this capability is platform independent.

ReleasePro automatically generates software product releases, enhancing the capabilities of both SCM tools as well as installation tools.  Various utilities support the inspection of software releases, Bill-Of-Material (BOM) files, and more.  ReleasePro is also designed to handle the errors encountered during the release cycle, including issues such as permissions, disk space and missing or zero length files.

Free Licensing for Open Source Development
Organizations developing software that is licensed or otherwise distributed exclusively under an Open Source license may be eligible to obtain ReleasePro licenses free of charge.  This free license would include all upgrades but only limited technical support and requires the execution of a Special End User License Agreement.  Examples of such licenses are: The Open Source Definition, the GNU, and the FreeBSD licenses.  Release Engineering reserves the right of approval for all Open Source licenses.  Please contact us for more information.

InstallPro™
